How does the Community Partnership work?
PLUS Community Partnership program contributes a percentage of business generated by the members of schools and participating non-profit organizations or anyone that has identified your school or organization to receive donations.
Contribution rate is between 1% and 5% depending on the number of signup drives that an organization may want to conduct.
- The program is available to any official 501C3 non-profit organizations that have needs for funds, such as Little Leagues, Schools, PTAs, Senior Citizen Organizations, or Youth Clubs.
- There is no aggregation or pooling of funds between organizations as is the case in similar programs.
- The Community Partnership program can be used for a specific period or all year long. This program is renewable from year to year.
- The contributions are made periodically and the contribution amounts are calculated based on the net volume of business after all fees, customer discounts, rewards, and taxes have been taken out.
What needs to be done by organizations and their members?
- Organizations submit requests to participate in the PLUS Community Partnership program on its ' s letterhead. Please include organization name, contact, address, and telephone number.
- Include a copy of your tax-exempt form (not your Federal Tax ID form).
- Organizations and their members conduct periodic signup drives through newsletters, announcements, activities, and existing means of communication.
- Anyone that sign up for the PLUS service should designate one non-profit group to befit from their business volume.
- No selling of merchandise is involved; just use the service as needed and forward the electronic or print invoices to the designated fundraising coordinator for processing.
How are the funds distributed?
The participating organizations may manage this program in one of two methods.
- Method A: A fundraising coordinator from a participating organization may manage the program by keeping an accounting of the business volume generated by its members or anyone participating in the program. The coordinator would receive copies of e-mailed or printed invoices, then Periodically make contribution requests.
- Method B: PLUS can track the business volumes for each organization and calculate the donations periodically.
What benefits does this program provide?
- Schools and non-profit organizations may use the funds to purchase materials, conduct building repairs, go on field trips, or pay for tuitions. The funds may be used for anything.
- Parents and members that receive pickup and delivery services may receive additional benefits through a separate customer referral program that offers discounts.
